D. Scott Carter is currently employed at CenterState Bank in the Correspondent Division as Vice President, where he manages the interest rate hedging and loan trading desks for the bank and serves as a fixed income and asset/liability analyst and strategist.  Over the past 12 years, he has worked in the capital markets with financial institutions and investment companies in various capacities, and has served as Executive Vice President at an investment risk management software company.

Scott has also worked in a consulting and investment banking capacity for small businesses and financial institutions, where he has provided merger and acquisition advisory services, capital raising strategies, valuation analysis, and business management consulting.  He has spoken at numerous conferences and events over the years, specifically regarding investment strategies and asset/liability management for financial institutions, and has been an instructor at the Florida School of Banking for multiple years.

In addition, Scott currently serves in an advisory capacity at NuVault Financial, LLC, regarding small business management consulting and financial valuation.  He also provides technical and fundamental analysis for foreign exchange & futures contract trading. He also serves as a member of the Birmingham Angel Network, an angel investment club located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Scott is an avid English soccer fan and has a passion for music.  He has been married for over 11 years, and has 2 young children (twins).
